How to Train ChatGPT to Write Like a Human

Stop getting robotic emails by using this simple "grooming" technique.

Why do most AI emails sound like a robot wrote them?

Because most people treat AI like a vending machine instead of a junior employee.

Chad admitted this week that he hates writing emails. It is a chore. But he also noticed that when he asks ChatGPT to "write a 7-part email sequence," the result is usually generic and boring.

The fix?

You have to "groom" the AI. You have to coach it, correct it, and feed it context before you ever ask it to write a single word of copy.

What is the "Grooming" process?

It is a specific order of operations: Context first, Outline second, Copy last.

Here is exactly how Chad did it live on the call:

  • 1. Feed the Source: He didn't just describe the offer. He took a screenshot of the actual sales page and fed it to the AI. He said, "Read this page so you understand the hook."

  • 2. Set the Emotion: He corrected the AI's tone. When the AI tried to write a standard "Sale" email, Chad said, "No, this needs to feel like the End of an Era. It needs to be emotional and final."

  • 3. The Outline: He asked for a 7-day outline before asking for the emails. He made sure the story arc made sense (Shock, Backstory, Value, Urgency) before generating the text.

What is the one mistake AI always makes?

It buries the link at the bottom of the email.

Chad pointed out a critical flaw in ChatGPT's writing style: it loves long introductions. It will write three paragraphs before giving the reader a chance to buy.

You have to manually intervene. You must tell the AI: "Put a click link above the fold."

This ensures that people who are scanning on their phones (which is most people) see the button without having to scroll down.

Why is this method worth the extra time?

Because once you groom the AI, it stays groomed.

By spending 20 minutes coaching the AI on the front end, Chad got a high-converting, emotional 7-part sequence that would have taken him a week to write manually. It takes a little effort to set up, but it saves you hours of frustration later.
