What is the "Airplane" Button?
The "Airplane" Button is a manual trigger in Course Sprout that sends a specific "Reminder Email" to customers who have purchased access but never logged in.
Chad revealed this feature during the Tech Call to address a common problem: people buy courses and then "ghost." In testing, Chad saw his login rate jump from 60% to 75% and then to 80%, literally overnight just by using this button.
You can find it by navigating to Course Sprout > Pricing Options. Next to your product stats (e.g., "94 sales, 75 logged in"), you will see the Airplane icon.
How does it work?
Unlike a standard broadcast, this is a smart transactional message that automatically filters your list.
When you click the Airplane, the system calculates exactly who has not logged in yet. It sends the email only to those specific people. It does not annoy the members who are already active.
The template is distinct from the initial "Welcome Email." As Chad explained, the Welcome email says "Here is your access," while the Reminder email says, "We haven't seen you log in yet... here are your credentials again. Log in and we will stop bugging you."
The "P.S." Profit Strategy
Transactional emails have the highest open rates because customers think they lost their password. This is a prime selling opportunity.
Chad shared a specific monetization strategy for this feature: Edit the Reminder Email template to include a "P.S." line at the bottom.
Use this space to drop a link to a special offer (like a Black Friday deal or a high-ticket upgrade). Since you know these people already bought from you once but haven't engaged, this "nudge" is the perfect time to present a second offer while getting them to consume the first one.
