Why build an owner community
 
Many subscribers are business owners. They want local reach, real results, and clear steps. When we give them one place to learn and be heard, trust grows fast. Trust turns into paid features, trial ads, and long-term sponsors.
 
What we are building
 
Private Facebook group for local owners. Short rules. Helpful posts. Light moderation.
 
Owner-only Letterman publication (example: [YourTown] Business Collective). One short email per week with a win, a tactic, and an invite.
 
How people enter
 
Use the micro-quiz at signup to ask, “Are you a business owner?” If yes: add the Owner tag, show the owner newsletter opt-in, and send a short welcome. If no: keep them on the main list and send a resident-friendly welcome. You can also add owners from Member Grabber, Lead Snagger, or a Quizforma survey if you have it.
 
The weekly cadence
 
Monday – Win: one short case. What was offered, how it ran, what moved.
 
Wednesday – Tactic: ad idea, subject line, or copy block owners can paste.
 
Friday – Spotlight + Ask: a simple feature with a no-pressure next step.
