How to Automate Getting Clients with the Profit Pipeline

The 4-step funnel that turns subscribers into high-ticket leads.

What is the "Profit Pipeline" Strategy?

Think of this as a simple funnel that finds the business owners hiding in your newsletter list.

Chad shared this new strategy to fix a big problem: having a lot of readers is great, but it doesn't always pay the bills. The real money is finding the local business owners who need your help.

The result?

Instead of just building a list of readers, you build a list of people who are ready to pay for high-ticket services.

How do you set it up in Letterman?

You just need to set up three things in a specific order: Multiple Publications, a Co-Reg Widget, and a Micro-Survey.

Here is the simple setup Chad mapped out:

  • 1. The "Trifecta": Create three different newsletters. One for Community, one for a Cause/Pet, and one for Food. You don't have to write for all of them right away; they just need to exist to attract different people.

  • 2. The Widget: Set up a "Co-Registration" widget for each one. This means when someone signs up for the "Community" newsletter, the system automatically asks if they want to join the "Pet" and "Food" lists too.

  • 3. The Micro-Survey: This is the secret sauce. Right after they sign up, send them to a tiny survey that asks one magic question: "Are you a Resident or a Business Owner?"

What happens when someone says "I am a Business Owner"?

The system instantly tags them as a "Business Owner," drops them into a sales pipeline, and sends them to a special page.

This is where the magic happens.

If they say they are a "Resident," they just get a "Thank You" page. But if they say "Business Owner," they get sent to a page with a video talking directly to them—offering help with ads or marketing.

At the same time, Global Control (GC) puts a tag on them and drops them into a Pipeline.

This alerts you (or your sales team) that a real lead just walked in the door, so you can pick up the phone or send a personal email.

Why is this better than a normal sign-up form?

It acts like an automatic filter so you don't have to cold call anyone.

Most agencies waste money on ads trying to find clients. With this method, your local newsletter is the "bait." You give value to the community first, and the business owners raise their hands to tell you who they are.

The bottom line?

You stop wasting time trying to sell to people who can't buy, and you focus all your energy on the leads who basically just told you, "I run a business and I might need help."
