✅  Add to Article Cue checkbox now available when you create an article

Inside the article editor you’ll see four toggles—Archive, Newsletter Cue, No Index, News Feed—so you decide distribution before hitting save.

“This is the one that you did not have this week—it’s there now—Add to the newsletter cue.”

Article Teasers import straight from the new Article Cue

Drop an Article Cue block anywhere in your newsletter, click Set Content, and choose from articles you previously flagged using the “Add to Newsletter Cue.” option in the artcile.

“If you don’t add it to the cue you can’t pull it in.”

✅  Choose one box or separate boxes when importing multiple articles from the article cue (in testing)

Currently, when you go to insert article teasers from the article cue, if you choose more than one article, they will be brought in together inside one single box or section. Coming soon: If you choose multiple articles you will be asked if you want them to be in one box or separate boxes/sections.

“When you choose both it’s going to ask you—do you want it in one box or do you want separate boxes.”

Letterman auto-writes an article teaser and soon auto-formats it

Every new article automatically has a teaser / summary created.  You can edit this under the little “+” icon from the article listing screen. Bold / italics and underline styling will be applied for you automatically in the next update.

“When we create an article, we automatically create a little snippet… hopefully today we’ll have that update where that’s done for you.”

✅  Newsletter layout templates arriving within a month

Pre-arrange video, trivia, teasers, sponsor slot, etc., tell Letterman what to rotate automatically, and save as Template  (or multiple templates).

Static pieces—logo images, for example—can be “memorized” so they preload every time.

“When you save this template… your whole entire newsletter can automatically be created for you.”

✅ New Built-in Welcome Email replaces separate GC workflow

Hit the 3 dots beside you publication in My Publications to customise the automatic Welcome Email that fires on signup—no GC tag required. You can still use a workflow iinstead if you prefer.

“When somebody signs up… no need to do a tag anymore… You can just go ahead and sign it up here.”

Planned follow-ups Emails for advertiser and newsletter inquiries

Coming soon, now that Letterman can send welcome emails, it will also have the ability to send predefined replies when prospects inquire about advertising or newsletters

“We’ll have a welcome email… When people inquire about advertising we’ll have an email that goes out there.”

✅  Toggle SEO, Archive, Index, and Cue settings directly in the article list (coming soon)

A quick on/off interface will replace today’s read-only indicators, so you can revise these settings directly from the article list without having to go into each article to adjust.

✅  Banners live on desktop; mobile in-content banners rolling out soon

Side banners now display on web. On phones those same ads will slot “between the sections” of your newsletter content.

“On mobile, these banners… will appear over here inside of your content… between the sections.”

✅ Ad Impression Tracking lands next week

Banner views are already counting on the backend; the dashboard to show those numbers is the final step.

“We’re already tracking them; we just need to show it—next week.”

✅ Tip: Headline Combo - Fill In All Parts

When using a Headline Combo, it automatically brings in a headline, subheadline, image block and text block. All these 4 fields must be filled in before all options will appear on the right side panel.

✅ Tip: Custom link & underline colors boost clicks

Setting a distinct link color and underline color in Text Sizes & Colors  for each publication is an important setting to check and set.

Chad stressed that high-contrast links “really really help a lot with your click-through rate.”

“Make sure that you have a good link color and an underlying color… it really really helps a lot with your click-through rate.”

✅  Tip: Sponsored posts deserve a colored backdrop (and a button)

Chad recommends giving every paid placement its own background shade so advertisers “definitely” stand out. Treat it as a visual cue—add a clear call-to-action button at the end for maximum response.

“How many of you are doing sponsored posts… hopefully that is the one area that you are definitely coloring.”

✅  Single funnel-wide delivery email keeps inboxes clean

For digital products used in funnels, use the Funnel Delivery tab within the product to write a short access snippet per product. Completed funnels will compile those snippets into one email instead of sending multiples, although you will have the choice to send indivuidual emails, per product, as well if you prefer.

If someone purchases a funnel product as an individual product, outside a funnel, they will be sent the email from the Fulfillment Email tab.

“They are going to receive one single email… containing the delivery details out of each of the funnel delivery sections.”

✅  Deliver any digital product manually from its three-dot menu

To deliver a digital product, on demand: click the 3 dots on a digital product and choose "Trigger Product" Enter name and email, and MintBird issues access - handy for replacements and bonuses.

“I can type in your name and your email address, and they’re going to get that email… it will set up access inside of CourseSprout as well.”

✅  Deliver digital products automatically when a GC tag fires

To set this up, grab your Mintbird API key and head over to GC. In Integrations, add Mintbird and add your API key. Next, choose a Tag and add a Tag Action, add/choose the MintBird integration and choose Trigger Product, and choose your product.

“When this tag fires off, they will now get the product.”

SSL Issues Resolved

A permanent fix for SSL has been implemented. Each software is now running on its own server and streamlined SSL configuration.

ShareBirdy (new contest app)

The referral-contest tool finally has a name—ShareBirdy—and the team is moving it to its own server for weekend testing.

“Our contest app is going to be called ShareBirdy… We’re going to probably test it this weekend.”

🔥  From Friction to Flow: Chad’s Push for Polished, Effortless Workflows

“All we’ve been doing is crossing T’s and dotting I’s… this year was going to be crossing T’s and dotting I’s and that’s what we’ve been doing.”

Takeaway: Progress isn’t always new features—finishing touches make products trustworthy and easier to sell.

“When you have an issue that is haunting you… it really takes down your momentum… that’s a great feeling."

Takeaway: Removing persistent pain points (like SSL) frees energy for innovation and growth.

“I’m trying to get to the point where you can just fill out a simple little form and your whole newsletter is created for you."

Takeaway: The long-term roadmap aims at true “newsletter autopilot,” so learn the current tools now to ride that wave later

🔮 What to Expect Next Week or Soon

Foundational polish pays off:Letterman’s teasers, template plans, and banners are clearer; MintBird digital product deliveries are instant; SSL nightmares are history.

Next week we’re looking for

  • banner impression stats,

  • mobile banner placement,

  • First glimpses of ShareBirdy

  • plus – article cue refinements, contests, and social posts to publish themselves.

🖖 See you next week.

Real calls. Real updates. Zero guesswork.
