Some big steps this week. We’re getting tools to sort new readers the moment they join. We’re getting easier ways to grow all our newsletters at once. And we’re getting very clear about how to bring in paying sponsors now, not “someday.” Below are the highlights and how to use them.
🔥 Theme of the Week: Segment fast. Cross-promote smart. Monetize early. |

Full details coming in the next issue. You don't want to miss this. Stay tuned. |

✅ Micro-Quiz at Signup (3 questions) coming soon We’ll be able to ask up to three quick questions right after someone subscribes. The goal is to sort fast: “Are you a business owner?” If they’re not, send them to a simple offer page. If they are, send them to a deeper survey in Quizforma and tag them as owners. That means better follow-ups on day one.
“We’re putting miniature quizzes in right after they sign up… ask a couple of quick questions, fire the right tag, and move them where they belong. If they’re business owners, send them to the full survey. If they’re residents, send them to the offer.”
✅ Smart Signups: Micro-Quiz + Fast Redirects Ask “Are you a business owner?” in your three-question micro-quiz. If yes, send them to your Quizforma survey and tag them. If not, send them to a clean offer page and let your article follow-ups do the work. This trims guesswork and makes your first email more relevant.
“Ask a couple of quick questions… fire the right tag, move them where they belong.”

✅ Co-Registration on Confirmation — coming soon A co-reg box is planned for the signup confirmation step. This lets us invite new subscribers to our other publications (community, food, pets). It also opens the door to swaps or paid placements with other publishers. A public directory is returning so we can request a co-reg with another newsletter and they can accept or deny.
“The confirmation page becomes a widget where you can recommend other publications from your account… and we’re bringing back the directory so you can request swaps.”
✅ Co-Reg that Helps All Three Lists Use the confirmation step to grow your trilogy. Invite new readers to your food or pets publication right away. Use the directory to request swaps with nearby publishers. Keep it clean and honest. Good fit first. This turns one subscriber into two or three without extra ad spend.
“The confirmation page becomes a widget… recommend other publications from your account… we’re bringing back the directory for swaps.”
See the simple setup → full co-reg guide
✅ Theme Styling (Light/Dark/Custom) — live There’s a new Theme Styling area for each publication. Choose Light, Dark, or make your own. It’s a fast way to keep your public pages on-brand.
“Under Styling you can set light or dark or customize it. It’s simple, and it applies across the public pages.”
✅ News Ticker controls — live DFY sites have a news ticker turned on. You can change its colors, choose where it shows (archives, articles), or turn it off. It helps your site feel active.
“The ticker is live now… pick the colors, decide if it shows on archives or on articles… you control that in Styling.”
✅ Customize the article opt-in boxes — live You can set the look of the opt-in boxes on article pages. Match your theme and improve signups without code.
“You can change the article opt-ins now. Make them match your style. It’s all in the same area.”
✅ Subscriber Source Tracking — live Subscriber records show where the lead came from. Sources include: article, signup page, archives, Lead Snagger, Member Grabber. It’s easier to see what’s working and where to spend time.
“On the subscriber screen you can see the exact source now… article, signup page, the archives, tools like Lead Snagger or Member Grabber.”
✅ Subscriber Status Dashboard — live The dashboard breaks your list into active, passive, inactive, new, undeliverable, and dead. Letterman sends to everyone except “undeliverable” to wake people back up.
“You’ll see active, passive, inactive, new, undeliverable, dead… we send to all but undeliverable so you can re-engage.”
✅ Email Reports inside Letterman — live There’s an Email Reports tab that pulls stats from your SMTP into Letterman. See sends, opens, and clicks without leaving the platform.
“We added an Email Reports tab… it brings in the SMTP data so you can see opens and clicks right here.”
✅ Quizforma template for qualifying business owners Mastermind members got a ready-to-use Quizforma template that tags owners by interest and need. Pair this with the micro-quiz in Letterman and your follow-ups write themselves. Want in? https://brianlikes.com/entourage
“About 15% of your subscribers are business owners… ask the right questions and they’ll raise their hand.”
✅ Newsletter Hustle Messenger room Chad is shutting down his Facebook newletter channel and moving that discussion to a new Newsletter Hustle Messenger room for newsletter strategy. Easier to find wins, scripts, and answers in one place.
“We’ll shut down the old channel and keep it focused here.”
👉 DFY build: fastest start with Letterman The done-for-you build is $594. It includes newsletter setup and Facebook ads setup (phase 2). If tech is slowing you down, this removes the heavy lifting. You also get a standard handoff checklist page at the end. Want it? Use this link: Find out more about DFY
“Users who let us build it see results faster than those who try to wire it all by hand.” |

✅ Offer Lab integration push Please take a minute to request MintBird inside Offer Lab. The goal is simple: when creators build funnels in Offer Lab, they can list MintBird products too. That brings new affiliates to your offers, not just Titanium insiders. Go here: https://chadnicely.com/offerlabs
“Please go into Offer Lab and ask for MintBird. It opens us to a bigger affiliate base and puts your products in front of more creators.”
✅ Public launch date set MintBird’s public launch is set for October 21, 2025. The team locked it in by placing the date on JVZoo London banners. That means demos and docs are lining up now.
“We put the date on the JVZoo banners so we stick to it.” |

✅ Split Paths in Workflows coming next week GC Pro is adding a “Split” so you can branch a path based on tags. That means simple choices like “owners go here, residents go there.” This fits the micro-quiz plan and cuts guesswork in your first week. [Screenshot: GC Pro workflow builder showing a “Split” branch from a timer step]
“We’re releasing the split next week so you can conditionally route based on tags. If they’re a business owner, you can send them into your owners track. If they’re not, keep them in the resident content with a clean offer.”
✅ Micro-Quiz → GC Tags: First-Week Flow Ask three quick questions in Letterman. Tag the answers in GC. Owners get a short business track with one tip, one case, one offer. Residents get community stories and a simple offer. This is how you send the right email on day one.
“Sort them in 30 seconds. Owners get the business track. Residents get content and simple offers. Everybody gets value.”

✅ Progress update: rewards + provider deals (in development) Chad’s working with two providers so we can offer vacations and dining vouchers as contest rewards. He’s pushing for partner terms that fit the platform. The focus this week stayed on Letterman and ShareBirdy work. No member release yet.
“We’ve been going back and forth between two providers that let us give away vacations and dining vouchers… I’ve been trying to cut a white-label deal, an affiliate partnership, tie it into our software.” |

✅ Switch SMTP to SMTP.com (recommended) Mailgun has been rough for many. SMTP.com has better support and is friendly to legit affiliate links. If you use SMTP.com tracking, set the “Default Tracking Domain” correctly so links redirect as expected. Sign-up link: https://chadnicely.com/smtp
“We’ve had fewer issues on SMTP.com… support is personal and it’s friendly to our use cases.”
✅ The Tripwire Playbook: 5 Offers with Scripts (Long-form teaser) We break down each offer with exact words to say and when to say them. You’ll see where to put the PS in your email, how to bundle a page feature, and how to count a “win” you can report to the owner. Simple steps. Real examples.
“Make the first step so easy and attractive that they feel silly saying no.”
See the 5 offers → full playbook
✅ Owners-Only Weekly: What to send and why it sells
A simple outline for a short weekly to owners. One tip. One case. One offer. It keeps the door open and turns quiet readers into steady sponsors.
“Get your business domain, set up the group, set up your publication… start pulling people in.”
See the blueprint → full outline
✅ GC Pro “Split” in Workflows — coming this week You’ll be able to branch a workflow path based on tags. That makes “if owner, send this; if not, send that” flows much easier. It pairs well with the micro-quiz and the owners-only newsletter.
“We’re releasing the split next week so you can conditionally route based on tags.” |

🔥 Sort Fast. Grow All Three. Get Paid. This week is about making money the right way. Sort new readers fast with a micro-quiz. Give owners one path. Give residents another. Use co-reg to grow all three publications without extra ad spend. Then talk to owners in a private lane and make the first step easy.
“We want you sorting new readers right after they join. Ask two or three simple questions, tag them, and send them down the right road.”
Start with the “silent cry for help.” Look for businesses already paying for ads no one can track. Local papers. Church bulletins. Coupon packs. Placemat ads. Event sponsors. Groupon. They are spending. They are not getting clean results. Offer clicks you can prove. Offer a fair test. Then move to a package.
“Go where the money already is. They’re buying exposure with no data. Give them a small test, show a simple report, and you win that relationship.”
Now the moves that tie this together and deserve a deeper dive:
✅ The Tripwire Playbook: 5 Offers with Scripts Use a small, safe first step. Offer a “Founding Advertiser” deal. Or bundle with a Facebook page feature. Or run a performance-based test. Or publish a quick “Local Hero Spotlight.” Or run one free, then sell the package after results. We give the exact language, when to send it, and how to score a “win” you can report.
“Make the first step so easy they feel silly saying no. Then show the clicks and the leads. That is how you turn a test into a sponsor.”
See the 5 offers with examples → full article
✅ Your Owners-Only Lane: Group + Weekly Create a private group only for owners. Add a weekly newsletter just for them. One tip. One case. One offer. Keep it short and steady. This warms up sponsors, sets your pricing, and makes upsells simple because you are useful every week.
“Make a place where owners can talk. Mail them once a week with something that helps today. When you ask for a sponsor, they already trust you.”
See the simple weekly blueprint → full article
✅ Prospecting Map: The “Silent Cry” List and Walk-Up Script
We list the easy targets and give a short walk-up script. You will know who to visit first, what to say, and what to offer as the test. No pressure. Just a clean win they can show the owner.
“Newspaper. Coupon book. Event sponsors. Groupon. Start there. Offer proof, not promises.”
Get the script and checklist → full article
✅ Micro-Quiz to Money: The First-Week Flow (Long-form teaser) Ask if they are a business owner. If yes, send to a deeper survey and tag them for the owners-only weekly. If no, send to a clean offer page and keep them in your community content. This makes your first week of emails more relevant and sets up the tripwire.
“Sort them in 30 seconds. Owners get the business track. Residents get content and simple offers. Everybody gets value.”
